Quarryville Partners with Wrightsdale Baptist to host Gamecraft Mobile

39 first-time Gamecrafters and their families came to the Quarryville Library to see what 'Build, Play, Grow' is all about.

Wrightsdale Baptist Church volunteers took Gamecraft on the road for the first time bringing the popular ice cream buckets and other 'gear'. Families use the buckets as well as ping-pong balls to create their own games and then play them with each other.

Quarryville library youth services coordinator Randi Kennedy worked with our family ministry director Brad Thorne to create a fun evening for everyone.

"We did giveaways of some large lego characters, gave each child a Gamecraft lanyard and a gift as they were leaving. We wanted to let the library know that we believe in investing in families," Thorne recounts.

A huddle time brought everyone together at the middle of the evening. The children discussed what they learned makes games fun. Brad explained to the kids how each day they play 'The game of life' and that they were created to make a difference.

By far the most exciting aspect of the evening was seeing the families playing games together created by the children. It's what Gamecraft is all about - building, playing and growing together.
